Alyeska Accommodations and Lodging
If you need pointers on activities in Girdwood, look no further than your hosts at Timberline B&B, Gail and John. They can recommend activities that suit you and your friends or family, and John, being a commercial fisherman, can lead you in the right direction for some good catches. If you are looking for lodging in the heart of Alaska’s premier playground, Timberline B&B is a more personal and intimate chalet-like experience than a hotel or larger accommodation.

Gail and John will be your hosts at Timberline Drive B&B. They are knowledgeable about the area and can help you make the most out of your Alaskan vacation. |

Moose are a common sight in Girdwood and throughout Alaska. If you want to experience wildlife close-up, however, Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a 15-minute drive from Girdwood where you’ll see moose, bear, musk oxen and many more Alaskan animals. |
If you don’t see enough wildlife during your stay in Girdwood, the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a nonprofit organization that takes in orphaned or injured animals, is a few miles down the road near Portage Glacier. Visitors can get close to grizzly and black bear, moose, bison and many more Alaskan animals. Near Portage, you can also take the tunnel to Whittier, one of Alaska’s most unique seaside towns, where there are charter boats for salmon and halibut fishing, and water taxis for kayaking and hiking in Prince William Sound. The two-mile drive through a railroad tunnel to Whittier is a one-of-a-kind experience. Or drive to Portage Glacier and see one of Alaska’s beautiful, frigid bodies of water, Portage Lake, which sports ice burgs well into summer and glistens at the base of an ever-calving glacier.
Whatever your desires, Timberline B&B is your Alaska accommodation located in a beautiful mountain town called Girdwood, but in close proximity to Anchorage, a city |

Experience this kind of beauty from your own back yard at Timberline Drive Bed and Breakfast. |
